DIY Event @Mocada in Brooklyn: Shop from local artisans

On May 10th, the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA) will host its annual Spring DIY Fest, featuring New York-based artisans and vendors including Brown Butter Beauty, Flo + Theo, Mawusi, Purposerosa, Shevon Gant Ceramics, So Tribal and TeaFèy Infusions.

Shoppers will find outstanding handmade goods – ranging from cutting edge jewelry and all natural bath & body products to housewares and tea blends. Vendors will fill the museum’s gallery, amongst the recently installed wall drawing and light installation, ARE YOU YOU by Shantell Martin.

There will be DIY craft station that visitors can participate in. Open to the public & appropriate for all ages, $5 suggested donation to benefit MoCADA’s Artists-in-Schools program.
