I stumbled over this stunning work from Thandiwe Muriu on Instagram and had to find out more about her. Thandiwe is Kenyan and according to her website a self-taught beauty and fashion photographer who is “passionate about showcasing the diverse textures and tones that give beauty to faces of different social groups across the globe.”
She was awarded the Portraiture Photographer and Most Promising Young Photographer of the Year 2013 at the Kenya Photography Awards – pretty impressive and she is self-taught? Way to go!
