APiF: Please introduce yourself.
Anna Touré: My name is Anna Touré, I am from Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire and also grew up in France. I am the founder of ANNA TOURE | PR a boutique PR agency specialized in fashion beauty and lifestyle.
APiF: When and why did you start your agency?
Anna: I started in 2012. I knew quite early on that I wanted to open up my own boutique PR agency. So I made the decision to start my own business and it grew from referrals and connections I had within the industry.
My aim was to open up an international consulting agency offering various services and specializing in Business Development, Event Production and Public Relations within the Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle sectors. I initially focused on the PR branch and developed the business into a consulting firm, AT Group, focused on Business Development and Event Production. Today ANNA TOURE | PR is part of AT | GROUP.
APiF: What is your professional background?
Anna: I have a Masters in Communication and International Business from Blaise Pascal University in France. I gained my first experience as an Account Coordinator in a Parisian multi-label showroom Sacamalice & Projectile and within the PR agency Poulain & Proust. Then I worked in Paris as an Import-Export Consultant. At some point, I made the decision to move to New York, where I worked for different event planning companies. Eventually I started my own PR agency in NYC.
APiF: What is the mission of Anna Toure PR?
Anna: Our role is to assist designers and talents to expand their brand internationally.
APiF: Any client examples / brand names you can drop?
Anna: Sure, Selly Raby Kane, Toubab Paris, Rue 114, Obi Cymatica and DJ C Devone to name a few.
APiF: Any words of wisdom you would give a young entrepreneur who wants to start a PR company?
Anna: Embrace new thinking! Hard work and a positive attitude will always get you noticed. Know what’s going on in the world. Take chances! Don’t be afraid to reach out & meet as many people as possible. And last but not least…Have dreams!
